Massive Data Breach Hits French Government Agency: 19 Million Records at Risk

In a troubling cybersecurity incident, France Titres, the government agency responsible for issuing official identity documents, has reported a significant data breach. An attacker, known as ‘breach3d’, claims to have stolen sensitive information from up to 19 million individuals.

The breach, confirmed on April 15, 2026, may have exposed various types of personal data, including names, email addresses, dates of birth, and addresses. While the agency assures that this information cannot be used to access their portals directly, it raises concerns about potential phishing attacks.

Affected individuals are being notified, but ANTS advises everyone to remain vigilant against suspicious communications that may appear to come from the agency.

The risk level of this breach is assessed as High, given the extensive data involved and its potential misuse. Users are encouraged to exercise caution and report any unusual messages they receive.
