New Infinity Stealer Malware Targets macOS Users

Utilizing a technique called ClickFix, the malware deceives users into executing harmful code disguised as a CAPTCHA from Cloudflare. Researchers at Malwarebytes highlight that this is the first documented campaign using a Python-based infostealer compiled with Nuitka, making it more challenging to detect.
The attack primarily affects macOS users, allowing the malware to capture sensitive information, including browser credentials, Keychain entries, and cryptocurrency wallets. Stolen data is sent to cybercriminals via HTTP requests.
To protect against this threat, users are advised to avoid pasting commands from unknown sources into their Terminal and to regularly update their security software.
